After reading this wonderful book by Drew Daywalt and illustrated by Oliver Jeffers, consider having students write letters from their own crayons' perspectives with this nine-page letter template!
Included is a class poster that can be personalized with your teacher name and nine letter templates, each with a blank crayon students can illustrate to reflect their letter's tone and message. Younger students, instead of writing a letter, could color a scene using colors in ways the crayons asked to be used in the story (i.e. a black rainbow!).
