In this innovative project, students will work in groups to create a mini-documentary based on recent decades. Students will research a decade and create a video documentary of that decade. The groups are required to interview 2 people from the decade and use their interviews in the video (instructors can choose to not do this if you do not have the time or resources). Students will manage specific tasks as the role of a filmmaker through the selection of appropriate photographs and images, editing techniques, narration, and musical score. This project has multiple individual lessons within the project that all have rubrics for easy grading and ease in the lesson. This project puts students in the role of creator and innovator. .
