In this investigation, students will apply the theory of plate tectonic to several locations around the world. Students will summarize how each plate boundary shapes the surface of the earth. Using their understanding of plate interactions, students will label and identify key features with each type of plate boundary.
The investigation is divided into three activities. Any of the activities can be done in any order. Each focus on the same main idea, the interaction of plate boundaries. Through short answer responses and labeling diagrams, students will apply their understanding of tectonic plate boundaries and how they move to shape the earth’s surface.
