Students conduct a survey and create a bar graph of the results.
They review concepts of density, floating and sinking, and representing data using a bar graph.
This worksheet is used during a demonstration. Have students guess whether common fruits will float or sink in water. Record the number of students who guessed correctly. My students are always captivated by this investigation - especially after seeing a pineapple float and a graph sink!
