In college, I always was told that "if you are organized, this will rub off on your students." This is true, to a certain extent...this year I am taking this a step further and introducing the Desk Fairy! I know there are tons of desk fairy ideas out there, but I wanted to create one specifically for my class. I know what techniques work for my kiddos, and hopefully some of you will find them helpful!
My set includes:
-An original desk cleaning song (hung in the classroom to motivate students)
-A table of notes (easy to cut with paper cutter) to place inside the desks of students who have a super clean desk. With the first version, the kiddos will save up five and then get a prize!
-Another set of notes from the Desk Fairy. With this version, kiddos will put their names on the back of the notes and put them into your "desk fairy jar." Once a week, you can draw some names to award prize winners!
-There's a mess in your desk notes. I will hand these out to students in the morning, to remind them to straighten their desk before the Desk Fairy comes.
-A Desk Fairy Jar label. I bought a cheap jar from Target and put the label on the front.
As always I have to give credit to the talented people who help make this stuff possible!
