The Diary of Anne Frank is predominately taught throughout schools in a variety of age groups. This document compliments any version of the story you teach. This two-page document, utilizing graphic organizers, is ready to print and copy. It provides an opportunity to compare media formats between literature and screen. It allows students to take notes that pull students into the movie, not distract them from it. It asks students to find examples in the movie that show foreshadowing for the future of the Jews, Mr. Frank's wisdom, Anne's optimism, Mrs. Van Daan's vanity, and Mr. Van Daan's greed. It also asks students to list unique qualities of the book and the movie.
