I use these questions after my students have finished reading The Diary of Anne Frank by Francis Goodrich and Albert Hackett. I usually have the students work on the questions individually first, then I put them in small discussion groups to share and compare ideas.
The first section of questions focuses on how these lit terms apply to the play:
The second page of questions focuses on "big picture" questions that lead to great discussion among the students. This activity is also a great review before the final test.
An answer key for the lit terms questions is included as a separate file.
All of the items I share on TPT are ones I actually use in my middle school classroom. Most have been revised multiple times based on "test runs" with my students. I work hard to make information accessible to students in a fun and simple way while still challenging students to meet and exceed their abilities. Most of my assignments can be used with all ability levels; differentiation comes in my expectations of what individual students or groups can achieve. Many of my activities can be used with individual students or cooperative groups.
