Description

Determining the discriminants is the focus of this fun, print and go activity. Students are given quadratic equations and will need to use the discriminant formula. There are two versions.

In each version, the student will find the discriminant and then color the ugly sweater the indicated colors. The discriminant answers are on the sweater. The equations come in several forms. Some are in standard form and some are jumbled and need to be organized into standard form.

The second version is the exact same questions with an added layer. After finding all of the discriminants, the student decides what the nature of the roots are according to the discriminant answers.
