Learning is a personal experience; different kids learn in different ways. MicMagicMath incorporates multiple senses and lets kids experience math through different activities that they love. Some kids are logical thinkers while others are visual learners or observers. Some children like to connect topics to real life situations, while others prefer to play.
The Domino Maze Game is one of the activities in the Secrets of Division unit. It teaches kids how to find the factors of a product, practice division and multiplication, as well as family facts. In other words, while kids create, design, draw, and play during the Domino Game, they learn and practice important math skills.
Before you start you need to decide if the game will be used for the class or as a personal game to take home. The only difference is in the number of pieces each child makes. As a class, divide kids into groups. Each group creates one set of the game. The students in a group should combine the pieces that they made individually to play the game together.
Kids can decorate and color each domino piece in a creative way.
This activity is great for teachers and homeschoolers who like to make studying more interesting and fun!
