Students read a primary source on the Doolittle Raid of World War 2 (WWII, WW2) and answer 10 questions of varying levels of difficulty (answers included where appropriate). They then complete 2 creative activities, one social media oriented and the other involving a museum exhibit. This would be great for a sub and will work for US and World History.
Sample questions include:
-What was the biggest problem the mission had to overcome?
-Describe the effect the raid had on America.
-Inferring from the text, what was Lawson feeling watching Doolittle's plane start up and take off, and his own imminent take off. You must write at least 3 sentences.
-Starting with "the two main landing wheels caught..." summarize the rest of Lawson's crash landing memories. You must write at least 4 sentences.
