The Earth – Long Ago and Now is a comprehensive SmartBoard Notebook presentation of the second grade science text covering prehistoric animals and animals of today. The presentation includes information and vocabulary (fossil, paleontologist, skeleton, extinct, and endangered species). It also includes a clay imprint activity idea, an endangered or extinct activity, and an assembly of a dinosaur skeleton fossil activity. The endangered/extinct activity and the skeleton fossil activity can be printed out as well for classwork or homework. The presentation correlates with the second grade Virginia Science Standards of Learning.
