The (Easter) Egg Hunt
This is a fun, light-hearted play about a chicken's search for a basketful of eggs - to save her from being 'Roast Chicken'! Given some schools reluctance to mention anything 'religious', the Easter words can be removed and the bunny can be just a plain bunny!
The script may be read by a cast of 10 or 30 speakers (or some number in between). The main characters: Clumsy Chicken, Tactless Turkey, Grumpy Goose, Daft Duck, Feisty Pheasant, Greedy Guinea Fowl, Sad Swan, Envious Emu, 'Onorable Ostrich ... and an Easter Bunny called Funny Bunny! A star cast! And with over 20 jokes (not all of them fowl!) Join the crew and find out if Clumsy Chicken can be saved from her fate - as roast chicken! Ideal either as a class play within the classroom or as a performance piece in front of the school. A simpler version also available for younger children.
