This is a fun, interactive activity that requires students to find answers to analogies and definitions on a handout by looking at word strips that have been placed on the backs of students. It is engaging and allows students to be active as they walk the room searching for answers. Students will compare and contrast and critically think as they intermingle with other students, to determine which word strip belongs to each analogy and definition.
When students have completed the handout, they will then return to their desks to form bridge sentences to further their understanding. The handout consists of 2 pages, which includes 16 analogies and 9 definitions.
Economic terms found on the handout, in either an analogy and/or definition include: natural resource, human resource, capital resource, Free Market Economy, Traditional Economy, Mixed Economy, Command Economy, quota, tariff, embargo, GDP, GDP per capita, producer, and trader barrier.
A key and teacher instructions are also included. This is a great review, as well as an assessment on basic economic terms!
