This is a three lesson unit by Reading Through History. It covers the Election of 1856, the Dred Scott Decision (Scott v. Sanford), and the Lincoln-Douglas Debates. Each lesson contains a one-page reading which is followed by three pages of student activities. The student activities include multiple choice questions, a student response essay question, a guided reading activity, and vocabulary activities. There is enough material to cover three separate 30 minute segments of class time.
