This resource is a fully differentiated lesson aimed at teaching Physics: Waves. Within this lesson, students will be introduced to the EM spectrum.
This lesson has 5 learning objectives that are structured in the IDEAL format:
*Identify the different parts to the electromagnetic spectrum and the velocity that they travel at.
*Describe some of the uses of the different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum.
*Explain, using mathematical calculation, the wavelengths of different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum.
*Apply your understanding of the electromagnetic spectrum to decide what part of the EM spectrum a wave belongs to using calculation.
*Link your knowledge of the EM spectrum and wavelengths to explain how the wavelength affects how dangerous an EM wave is.
This lesson is designed with a challenge objective and challenge questions throughout to stretch your most able students, whilst supporting your LA students.
Review the lesson before teaching to see how the animations and objectives will work in your lesson.
