These worksheets can be used as individual activities, in small groups or as a class. They can be printed as individual worksheets or as a set.
After discussing as a class and listening to music, students write a definition of each element in the space provided and practise using the correct vocabulary to describe the element as it is heard in the musical example.
Guided listening questions are provided for each term. Suggested words to use when describing the elements are also provided. A space is provided for students to respond to the element after listening to a piece of music. Teachers should select music that is appropriate for the element that is being investigated.
At the end is an assessment task that is easily linked to the Australian Curriculum Achievement Standards
