Product Description
For this lesson, students investigate why the relationship between the Pilgrims/Puritans deteriorated in the 1600s. The students are presented with task cards to analyze in groups to see why that relationship went south. There is a graphic organizer and an exit ticket already provided for easy analysis. There is also a 3-page background reading to help students understand the historical information. This lesson is fun and interactive and will get your students talking!

The lesson is linked to NYS Social Studies Standards, but you could easily cut and paste in your own standards for your state.

NYS Framework Standards:

7.2b.2 - Students will investigate other Native American societies found in their locality and their interactions with European groups.
7.2b.3 - Students will examine the major reasons why Native American societies declined in population and lost land to the Europeans.

This zip file includes a PDF version a PowerPoint version, and a link to a Google Slides version. Both the PowerPoint and the Google Slides versions are fully EDITABLE.
