This power point introduces the background to the Enlightenment and the beliefs of thinkers such as Locke, Hobbes, Montesquieu, Voltaire, Smith, Wollstonecraft, and more. There is also a slide with 9 statements for students to identify if the statement is a characteristic of the Enlightenment or not. A 3 part vocabulary activity concludes the power point. Depending on your students this will likely take 2 days if the vocabulary activity is completed in class.
***there is pertinent information in the presenter's notes of the power point, please make sure you look at them***
