Product Description
In this activity students will read through a portion of the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen, one of the most well known primary sources from the French Revolution. The overall goal of the assignment is to help students understand how the enlightened thinkers would have influenced the beliefs of the Third Estate leading them to constructing this declaration while also helping them further understand the abuses of Absolute power in France.

This activity is designed as a jigsaw lesson but can be adapted in to the specific needs and size of your class easily. A copy of the declaration of the rights of man an citizen is provided both on the documents as well as the link to the internet source. It is also color coded by group.
