My kiddos absolutely LOVED this novel! It is especially useful for the science and history integration (especially Texas history). I do the novel study just before our state science test, and it is PERFECT for review in a fun, and meaningful, way! I used it in 5th grade as a read aloud novel study because the vocabulary is CRAZY (in a good way)! It would be a perfect middle school novel study, or upper elementary enrichment project!
