This group assignment allows students to practice communication without relying on written language. It's a challenging exercise that breaks up the routine of the typical technical communication class.
I assign this as an in-class exercise. Students have 30-45 minutes (depending on class length) to put their presentations together, and at the end of time they all demonstrate. This exercise could count as class participation. Alternately, you can make this a competition, with extra credit as the prize.
