Pg. 9-11 My Comprehension Flip It! - copy pages A and B back to back, fold on the solid line and cut on the dotted lines, answer the questions and illustrate
Pg. 12-16 Author’s Purpose – fold the paper with the teaching machine in half – glue the sides to form a pocket – cut out the homework discs – write a detail and illustrate it on each disc using details from the reading selection – slip the discs into the pocket – write the author’s purpose on the screen of the teaching machine - color
Pg. 17-19 Let’s Roll a Sentence ! – copy pages A and B back to back – fold on the solid line - Practice your mechanics! Roll the dice 3 times to get the 3 things that you will use in your sentence. Roll the dice first to see what to capitalize in your sentence. Roll it again for the punctuation and what type of a sentence you will write. Roll it a third time to see what contraction to use in your sentence. Repeat! – open it up and write your sentences – there’s room to write 9 sentences

Pg. 25-37 A Robot of My Own … - a craft and writing activity – If you could have a robot of your own what could it do? How could it help you? Copy the patterns onto the appropriate colored construction paper – glue together as seen in the example – attach the story to the robots body – if there is more than one page, attach multiple pages at the top with staples so it can flip up
