Students create a pamphlet/how to guide for gaining independence/getting a different government in power, etc in the vein of tearing down the Berlin Wall and ending Communism. It is a three part activity where the students discuss the main ways in which a group can "tear down walls," provide examples of where such changes were made, and provide visual representations to each section. The instructions and rubric are clear and thorough. This can be modified to increase its difficulty, email me at email@example.com for ideas. The point values of the rubric have been left blank to accommodate your own grading systems.
