The Feelings Book – how does he/she/they feel?
Teaching emotions to students (especially children with Autism) can be very challenging. This book provides scenarios and pictures that allow children to identify the feelings and emotions of the characters. You can use the book strictly for expressive vocabulary (identifying the emotions) but also for reasoning (e.g. “why do they feel happy?”) and expanding language (i.e. “how do you know they feel happy?”). This book is also great practice for pronoun usage. Have the student identify the correct pronoun on each page based on the pictures. There are so many great things you can do with this book! The opportunities are endless!
1. One cover page
2. 15 pages filled with scenarios and pictures
3. 4 pages of emotions icons for responses – I have attached enough icons to allow 3 choices for responses per page.
4. Assembly instructions (super simple)
