Get students' creative juices flowing. In this activity students first explore the online version of the exhibit and complete the chart about what they know. Once at the museum, students will thoroughly investigate a permanent exhibit. Students will then develop questions and then seek the answers while at the museum.
Students will understand that…
• research involves questioning, surveying, summarizing, and making connections.
• information can be conveyed in print, visual form, video, artifacts/objects, and orally.
• research is used to answer questions about the world, often to help others.
Finally, students recreate the museum exhibit to be more bold, fresh, and insightful!
