This resource is designed to aid in your teaching around the First Fleet complimented by the Australian HASS curriculum.
I used this in my own classroom to create an engaging way for students to learn, discuss and research information, expanding their knowledge around:
- The reasons for the First Fleet
- The journey of the First Fleet
- Impacts on people in the First Fleet
Each slide contains detailed information about the topics above. Appropriate language and historical terms are used and explained to aid students understanding of the topic.
Included in the powerpoint are some worksheets around perspectives and the journey to further extend students in their learning.
This resource is made through powerpoint and is editable!
