Do you use the math expressions curriculum in your class? Do you have trouble keeping all students engaged and focused while the student leader completes the routine? Do you often feel like skipping the routine all together because engagement falls apart?
In my classroom, I find that when the students are not all engaged in the process of the daily routine the level of understanding declines. I have created a first grade daily routine binder for each student in order to solve this problem. While your student leader is leading the routine the rest of the class is following along in their binder.
Just like all things at the beginning of the year, this process takes some practice. Soon your students will know the procedure and will be completing the routine much quicker.
This pack includes:
Directions and pictures on how to get started
Teacher "cheat sheet" cards - if you have a sub they can do the routine
Days of the Week/Months of the Year - reference page
Optional Weather and Temperature Data Sheets
Tens and One chart
Unit 1-8 routines with the newest routine added each unit
An editable slide so you can create a routine sheet of your own if you would like something different.
