The First Grade Math Circus is a first grade circus themed math unit that ties directly to common core math standards. Each activity and lesson ties directly to a standard(s). You will find whole class and small group activities as well as centers and games for partner and independent math practice. Most of the activities can be copied and laminated for repetetive use. This unit covers: number identification, counting, subitizing, addition, subtraction, story problems, place value, fact families, doubles facts, number sense, greater than/less than/equal to, measurement, time to the hour and half hour, data interpretation and graphing, geometry, and fractions. This unit teaches math skills identified in the common core standards for first grade.
