The First Nations of Canada // The Eastern Woodlands Tribes
Easy to teach, incredibly in-depth! Just hit print and go!
This is the fourth of six lessons on The First Nations in Canada. In "The Eastern Woodlands Tribes" your students will learn about the First Nation Tribes who settled and lived between Nova Scotia and Southern Ontario. Tribal groups, languages, houses, social structures, religion, and more are covered in this lesson! A special focus on Iroquois and Algonquian distinctions are in this lesson.
A worksheet, "While You Read", is provided for students to interact with in order to demonstrate they've read and understood the material taught.
At the end of the lesson students will work through the "Think it Through" assignment section that will push them to integrate the information learned and demonstrate their knowledge using higher level thinking. Vocab work is also provided.
