WHAT TEACHERS ARE SAYING:
"This is FABULOUS! I can not wait to use it with my kids! This is my first year in middle school self contained and have been so worried. This really helps me to get my first week under control!"
"The first two weeks are some of the hardest in my classroom, because all of the grade level classes that we try to pace with (to some extent) have not started curriculum. At the same time, my kids need to have their structure already in place, so this resource will help us work through learning procedures while also starting with a consistent schedule. Thank you for this! You've taken so much anxiety and stress off me with this resource."
"Parents especially loved seeing what their students were doing on the first few days of school. I displayed them at meet the teacher night. Students found theirs, showed it to parents and took them home. I got several positive emails from parents. They loved how engaged their student was, and how mature it seemed for my middle school students. "
"This is literally my lesson plan for the first 10 days of school. This resource has given me more time to actually set up my classroom."
HOW DO I USE IT?
There is a suggested calendar of plans included for you! Work through teaching each routine explicitly with direct instruction materials provided. Keep up with the practice during the first 2 weeks of school to avoid reteaching routines all year long!
I've added new tips for those of you who will be distance learning this fall. I hope the digital versions of these resources help you and your students during these unusual times.
