Product Description
CCSS.RI.5.6

If you are looking for a meaningful way to integrate Thanksgiving into your curriculum, then this activity is a must!

This is a webquest activity that has students analyze four different accounts of the first Thanksgiving, and find similarities and differences amongst the sources/documents.

The accounts of this event are in a variety of formats, from multiple sources (primary sources of the event, a video, and two online articles).

Students will determine whether each document is a firsthand or secondhand account, the author's purpose of each source, and analyze for important details/information about them. Students will then compare and contrast two of the documents, drawing on details from each text.

Purchase Includes:
• The First Thanksgiving: Analyzing Multiple Accounts of the Same Event activity sheets
• The First Thanksgiving: Analyzing Multiple Accounts of the Same Event questions
• Comparing and Contrasting Multiple Accounts of the Same Event Comparison table
• Comparing and Contrasting Multiple Accounts of the same event Venn Diagram
