Today’s Thanksgiving Meal may differ more than you think compared to what was served during the first Thanksgiving Celebration. This is a fun and interactive, Informational text reading passage. Students will enjoy learning more about the history of Thanksgiving and get a better glimpse as to what the colonists and Wampanoag people ate, and the impact the Wampanoag had on that meal.

This is a great activity for the month of November and can be used as a whole class, center or rotation. This activity is informational, interactive, and FUN. Something that I think all Non-Fiction should be. This can be a successful activity in both the Elementary, and Middle School Classrooms. Even High Schoolers will enjoy learning about the first Thanksgiving Feast. Make sure to check out the Free Thanksgiving Tangram extension. These two together make a wonderful and complete Thanksgiving activity. This would also work great as bell work or morning work for the month of November.
