In this exercise students look at the classic story of "The Cat in the Hat" from the viewpoint of the fish. Choose from three graphic organizers that ask students to write what the fish saw, said, and did during the cat's visit. There is a very open organizer for advanced students and a very structured one for students who need more support. These organizers can be the brainstorming tool leading to students rewriting the story in the first person perspective of the fish.
