The Founder is a great film for Social Studies, History, or Economics classes. It is a recent film about the rise of McDonald's as a fast food franchise. The movie is very well done.
I created this half sheet of questions to keep students focused, and teach the key terms of economics and business that the film highlights.
This movie does a nice job illustrating the growing pains, trials, and errors that businesses go through when becoming a franchise. It also teaches students a valuable lesson in contract law and legal requirements of business. This worksheet is a guided notes that follows the movie without overloading the enjoyment of the film.
