Most people think a tennis court is just for playing tennis. But, in June 1789, representatives of the National Assembly of France gathered together on a tennis court and pledged not to disband until a constitution was written in their favor. It was known as the Oath of the Tennis Court! The Project Pack, The French Revolution, includes a 12-page Research Guide that introduces you and your students to the history of the French Revolution; what is was, why it occurred, and how it ended. In the Research Guide part of the unit, you will also find short biographies of important people during that time, a timeline, and a Vocabulary List. In addition to the guide, you will find 23 hands-on activities complete with instructions and reproducible graphics needed to complete your studies and offer a fun approach to learning about the French Revolution.
