Product Description
The Fur Trade 1600s to Early 1800s Webquest uses three great websites that allow students to get a better understanding of the importance of the fur trade in the development of the United States. The webquest also covers the people and nations involved in the fur trade as well as the items that were traded and produced for the fur trade. The webquest is very easy to follow for students in grades 5-12.

The following three website are used:
Website 1: French and the Great Lakes Fur Trade 1600s-1700s
Website 2: Upper Mississippi River Fur Trade 1790s-1840s
Website 3: Trade Items in the Fur Trade

The webquest contains 50 questions and an answer sheet is included for the teacher. QR codes are included along with the traditional website links. The webquest takes most students at least 40 to 60 minutes to complete depending on their age. Feel free to modify this activity if needed to fit the needs of your students.
