In this worksheet, students will answer questions about their interests and goals for the future. They will need to come up with a post-secondary plan for themselves, and think about the time, dedication and effort that plan will take. This forces them to think closely about the path they want to take in life and how they will get there. The first two pages are questions about their interests, educational plans, financial realities, etc. On the third page they will complete the "future me" map, in which they will jot down their thoughts about what they can do now and later in order to stay on track with their plans. The last page consists of a few reflective questions about the assignment.
This is a great exercise for seniors, or even juniors to do if you want to get them thinking ahead. Some of them have already have plans for the future, and this will help them think about how they can get there. For others, it will help them to establish a plan and set goals. After they complete this you can use it to have a short vocational conference with each student (if that's practical), or simply use it as an opener to a larger class discussion.
