This garden themed PowerPoint game reviews the use of compound words. The game includes five rounds:
ROUND 1: Introduction and examples.
ROUND 2: The students will be given four words and will identify which one is not the compound word. There are ten multiple choice questions in this round.
ROUND 3: The students will be asked to identify the compound word in each sentence. This round also has ten questions in a multiple choice format.
ROUND 4: The students will be given one part of a compound word and be challenged to guess the second one.
THE FINAL CHALLENGE: Twelve words will come up on the screen, one at a time. If the students think it is a compound word, they will stand up. If they don't think it is, they will sit down or stay seated.
**These PowerPoint game questions can be answered with Activotes, as a team game, or the students can write their answers on notebook paper or dry erase boards.
**In Rounds 2, 3, and 4, the answers follow the questions for immediate feedback. During the Final Challenge, there will be an answer key at the end.
