This product includes 1 word search puzzle and 1 answer key, which contain terms relating to the Gettysburg Address. The answer key is highlighted according to color: red = horizontal words and yellow = vertical words.
Students are asked to find and circle words in the puzzle using a word list. Words may be vertical, horizontal, diagonal, forward, or backward. A black and white picture of President Abraham Lincoln giving the famous speech is found at the top, right-hand corner of the word search page. A solid, black border is around the picture.
Our original American Civil War puzzle is written primarily for grades 4-5. Use it after history lessons, before unit quizzes and tests, during morning work, as homework, as assessment, or as handouts for substitute teachers. Also, it’s the perfect activity for early finishers and ESL students.
