This learning resource has SEVEN different activities using comprehension strategies: Problem and Solution, Connection and Visualization, Summarizing, Compare and Contrast, Alternative Endings, Retell as a Comic and Exploring other Creature in Traditional Stories
No prep, reading response pages are designed to focused on each reading strategy identified above. Grades 2 to Grade 5 will have success using these response pages.

The Giant Bear is an exciting traditional Inuit folktale retold by Jose Angutinngurniq and illustrated by Eva Widermann. It’s an excellent story supporting an Inuit theme or focus, as it draws students into the excitement and suspense of Inuit traditional stories.
