Just in time for Christmas!
I created these ELA activities for my students following our read aloud, "The Gingerbread Girl" by Lisa Campbell Ernst. I will put most of these into plastic sleeves and use them as station rotations. Here is what is included....
Writing Prompt - I created a prompt for the students to write about regarding the Gingerbread Girl with lined paper.
Grammar Match - There are gingerbread girls along with noun, verb, and adjective cards that you can copy 2-sided. I also attached some ovens with those grammar titles on them. I plan on cutting out the ovens, and gluing them onto square Kleenex boxes so the kids can actually "open" the oven to put the gingerbread girls (grammar words) in there.
Sequence of Events - I created strips that will need to be cut out where the students will order the story according to what happened first, next, then, and last.
Word Scramble - I made the letters G-I-N-G-E-R-B-R-E-A-D G-I-R-L on cards for the students to move around in order to create words. I also provided you with paper for the students to write their words on.
STEM Activity - Who doesn't love a stem activity? I made a simple activity where the kids have to try and lasso a fox using string, a paperclip, a fox face, and a paper towel roll.
There are actually 20 pages, but one page is a "Thank You" note from myself and another page full of incredible buttons that link you back to some amazing TPT sellers!
