(page 3 ) Use the included story mat as reinforcement while you discuss the story’s contents
(page 4 ) Use the included game board as an activity to pair with the materials in the packet. Have students roll a die after each response and move the indicated amount of spaces
( pages 5-7 ) Synonyms: Have students match the synonyms from the story and write the pairs on the included worksheet
( pages 8-10 ) Antonyms: Have students match the antonyms from the story and write the pairs on the included worksheet
(pages 11-13 ) Rhyming Words: Have students match the rhyming from the story and write the pairs on the included worksheet
( pages 14-16 ) Irregular Past Tense Verbs: Have students match the irregular past tense verb pairs from the story and write the pairs on the included worksheet
( pages 17-24 ) Verb Tenses: Have students sort the verb tense cards into the correct area on the included mat and write the tenses in the correct column on the worksheet. Next, have them complete the sentence with the correct verb tense.
