Product Description
The Girl Who Owned a City is a young adult, science fiction book. It is about a deadly plague which has devastated Earth, killing all the adults. Lisa and her younger brother Todd are struggling to stay alive in a world where no one is safe. Other children along Grand Avenue need help as well. They band together to find food, shelter, and protection from dangerous gangs invading their neighborhood.

This is an updated version of the novel study guide and one of the only units available on the Internet. I have modified some of the vocabulary pages and made corrections on the comprehension questions.

This study guide for The Girl Who Owned a City addresses comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills. Students are also required to design and build a city of their own. The students will have the opportunity to delve deeper into character development. There is also a list of response questions that can be used with any class novel. The vocabulary pages can be used at any time at the discretion of the teacher. Thanks.
