The Giver Thinking Stations is a great way to get your students thinking and reflecting on The Giver after they have finished reading it. This set contains 10 deep-thinking tasks that require students to dig back into the text, discuss, analyze, synthesize, and conjecture. These can be done in stations, but they can also be used as bell ringers or homework assignments. There is no answer key provided because students are challenged to contemplate, evaluate, consider, and even debate their ideas rather than provide a right or wrong answer. If you choose the small group station option, students will rotate when you call time after they have discussed the prompt. You may decide to have students write their responses or only discuss. That is up to you and the class you have. You may want some written and others only discussed.
These are included in The Giver Interactive Notebook
