These GATE-inspired comprehension worksheets and Thinking Maps are written to accompany your classroom read alouds. Included for each story is a three-question worksheet using the Prompts of Depth and Complexity, a Thinking Map designed to really get your students thinking deeper about the reading material, and a STEM activity. Some also include an anticipation guide for a suggested related informational text and a short comprehension test. Be sure to check the preview for what is included.
These can be used for whole-class discussion, scaffolded learning, small group centers, or individual assessments of understanding. I use them as part of my thematic units.
