Before reading page 91 in the Glass Castle, students will respond to different parenting scenarios. Based on responses, students will classify their parenting style.
Next, they will make connections to the Walls' parenting style after reading pages 91-93.
Lastly, they will read an persuasive opinion piece and write a one page response as to whether or not parents should be required to get a license before having children. Students must use ethos, logos, and pathos to prove their point and citations from The Glass Castle.
