The Glass Castle is based off the true story of Jeannette Walls and her family. Her memoir follows the childhood to adulthood of Jeanette and the struggles her family faced due to poverty, her father's alcoholism, and constantly moving around the country. Regardless of the hardships, she realizes how much her family loved and shaped her life.
