The following nine-page study guide film packet is used to accompany the Mike Nichols-directed 1967 comedy drama film, The Graduate, that stars Anne Bancroft and Dustin Hoffman. It can be used in an English or film studies classroom. The first page contains a list of cast and crew and a background and introduction on the film. The second page enables viewers to write their own notes in the style of Cornell notetaking. Pages three, four, five, six, seven, and eight contain comprehension questions to guide the viewer on the work's camera movement, characterization, cinematography, costume design, editing, foreshadowing, irony, motifs, plot, set design, sound, story, style, symbolism, and themes. The ninth and final page contain discussion questions on the work's setting, characterization, sociocultural context in America in the 1960s, themes, and title.
