Product Description
The Great Depression that ended the Roaring Twenties is depicted in this graphic organizer. Students can list facts about the Veterans march on Washington D.C. demanding their promised bonuses - although not due until 1945 - many of these veterans were with out jobs and money to pay their personal debts.
Also on this organizer they can can give a brief description of why banks closed and the information about the plunging stock market.

Many people were left homeless and would sell pencils and apples on streets to make some money to feed their families. In a sign of protest men would pull the lining of their pockets outside of their pants and called them "Hoover flags" and about 2000 people camped in Washington in cardboard boxes. They called camps these "Hoovervilles".

all of these facts can be organized in this fun "cartoon like" graphic organizer.

This can be done as a class cooperative activity to find information - or as an individual assignment for a study guide.
