Summary assessment / final quiz based on the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
This is a multiple choice activity. I created it in this format to provide support for weaker students. The questions look deceptively easy, but this is not the case. Students have to pay great attention to answer all correctly. Questions are based on plot, character, key words, and important quotations. I use as an open book test or scavenger hunt, so that it is an active learning activity as well as an assessment tool. The questions are sequential, so if you're using in open book format, students should quickly see if they have missed an answer.
The 100 question format makes it easy to convert to percentages and grades.
The product consists of the quiz (13 pages) plus solution (1 page).
Also included is a one page answer sheet, on which students can mark their answers. This makes marking easier for you, and cuts down on paper use. A second solution also comes in this format.
It is a Word document, so you can edit to suit your class. You may find it useful to separate the quiz into individual chapter tests. This also works very well.
Download the preview file to see the questions for Chapter 1. Even if you don't purchase this product, you might find this useful for assessing how closely students are reading the novel.
